Last night, out of pure boredom, I was messing around with Streamer.bot and had a small realization. Someone built an incredibly useful tool—and yet I was still running into the same friction I always do with clip commands.
I rely on !clip in chat, but half the time I forget to open Streamer.bot before I go live. When that happens, the command just… doesn’t exist. That’s a bad failure mode for something I use every stream.
So I fixed it.
I built a simple, lightweight !clip command for Twitch that works whether or not Streamer.bot is running. No extra setup during a stream. No remembering to open another app. It just works.
Right now, it’s in beta testing. Over the next week or so, I’ll be hardening it and preparing for a full production release.
More details soon.
